Job Description / Responsibility:
Assistant to Merchandising Manager, by working with current overseas vendors, source new factories and assist in quality control
To manage administrative person to oversee order placement as well as shipping of completed goods
Perform order follow up by communicating with buyers and suppliers independently.
Keep abreast of market trend.
Be constantly involved in product and supplier sourcing, to maintain market competitiveness and improve turnover.
To develop and nurture business partnerships with other internal departments and external entity, like suppliers, for meeting customer requirements.
Able to turn available information into marketing tools for business enhancement.
To handle merchandising activities for the product and sales development
To assist the top management to run a high-spirit team, the job holder has to motivate subordinates and other team members by passing on hand-on experience and advising on daily operational issues to ensure prompt delivery of service and achieving budgeted turnover
Requirement :
Higher Diploma / Degree holder with min 3 – 5 years merchandising experience in product development to bulk production of general Fashion Accessories item
Hand on solid category merchandising experience in the Fashion Bag (PU, PVC, Fabric, Leather etc…), Backpack & Luggage … is an definitely advantage
Background gained with International fashion brand’s buying office is a plus
Hand on knowledge in all aspects of product development including fabrics, lab-dips, trims, embroideries and screen printings
With global sourcing knowledge & good understanding of US, UK & other markets
Able to deal with US mass retailers independently
Proactive in identifying production problems an pragmatic in problem solving, sound decision making in conflicting situations
Able to analyze figures sensibly
Passionate, energetic and action oriented
Proficiency in Outlook, Ms Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent spoken of English, Mandarin & Cantonese
