Preferrably with background of hardlines: kitchen ware, sundries, home decor (vases, clocks, frames, tabletop, etc.), houseware, bathroom and disposable items. Experience in household, storage, glassware & cutlery items and gift & premium.
Responsibilities:
Handle and manage customer account independently.
Product development and sourcing for a wide range of products for a leading retail supermarket chain and the Group's beverage company.
Vendor identification, evaluation, selection, and development.
Liaise with related parties for sample arrangement, review, production and order fulfillment.
Requirements:
Post-secondary or Tertiary education level
Minimum 3 years experience in sourcing & merchandising in wide range of product categories for overseas markets, South America experience preferable.
Good market insight and creative.
Strong sourcing network and negotiation skills.
Experience with trading company or buying office for both USA and/or South America markets preferred.
Sound product knowledge and familiar with USA norms and regulations
Organized, able to deal with multi-task, able to meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills, effective communicate skills and ability to build strong relationships with customers and vendors.
Proactive and results-driven, hardworking and committed, detail oriented and with good problem solving skills.
Excellent command of spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Able to travel to Mainland China or overseas as required.
