Using your quantitative expertise to develop effective marketing programmes
As one of the leading banking and financial services organisations in the world, HSBC offers a full range of personal financial services including personal banking, MPF options, investment, insurance and credit cards. To maintain our success, we are looking for two experienced marketing professionals to help us develop effective customer segmentation strategies and customer relationship management programmes in order to maximise our profitability and market share in the Asia-Pacific region.
Repoting to the Manager Campaign Management, you will oversee the production side of campaign process from data extraction and exploitation, management information tracking and reporting to campaign list generation and evaluation. Developing effective campaign management techniques, you will liaise with various business areas to understand their business requirements in order to enhance the sales and marketing applications as well as campaign performance reporting process. As an expert in data knowledge and exploitation techniques, you will provide effective training to the team in addition to performing high volume and complex data processing on an ongoing basis. You will also be designing and generating small sclated pre-campaign analysis to support customer targeting. Ref. B03007
For the position, you should ideally have a university degree in a quantitative science related discipline and six years' relevant experience with proven competence in programming using SAS, SQL, Access, Excel or other data mining tools. Equally important is hands-on experience in data manipulation and analysing, and exploting information from a large database. Previous exposure to IBM utilities (TSO/ISPF, QMF) in an IBM NVS environment is a definite advantage. You should be skilled in various data mining and predictive modelling techniques such as clustering, multivariate analysis and classification models. A mature self-start with good business sense and strong understanding of the personal banking market, you must possess excellent time and project management skills for handling multiple tasks and working under tight deadlines. Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication as well as negotiation skills together with strong personal motivated and drive are essential to your success.
