Walt Disney Imagineering is the master planning, creative development, design, engineering, production, project management, and research and development arm of The Walt Disney Company. Its talented corps of Imagineers is responsible for the creation - from concept initiation through installation - of all Disney Resorts, theme parks and attractions, real estate developments, regional entertainment venues, and new media projects. Walt Disney Imagineering Hong Kong, the team responsible for the design, development and construction of the Hong Kong Disneyland project, is now seeking high caliber individuals to fill the following positions for our Hong Kong Disneyland project.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Principal Special Effects Designer
- Review site conditions for verification/accuracy of utility placement
- Review installation schedule against site conditions to ensure effects equipment is available and site conditions are ready to accept
- Communicate effectively the needs of Imaging and Effects group to construction management and contractor(s)
- Support installation of effects equipment
- Supervision of talent on site installing I&E related equipment
Requirements
- Diploma or above in Electrical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years experiecne on application/ installation of various special effects/ projection equipments, optics, mechanics and materials processes etc. Knowledge of stage crafts and traditional magic / illusions an advantage
- Practical experience on electrical / mechanical drawings
- Proficiency PC skills including AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Fluency in English and Chinese
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
