Walt Disney Imagineering is the master planning, creative development, design, engineering, production, project management, and research and development arm of The Walt Disney Company. Its talented corps of Imagineers is responsible for the creation - from concept initiation through installation - of all Disney Resorts, theme parks and attractions, real estate developments, regional entertainment venues, and new media projects. Walt Disney Imagineering Hong Kong, the team responsible for the design, development and construction of the Hong Kong Disneyland project, is now seeking high caliber individuals to fill the following positions for our Hong Kong Disneyland project.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Show Production Lead
- Supervise all aspects of show installation and fiel dfabrication adhering to company standards and specifications for scenery, props and icons of attractions, shops, restaurants and exterior show settings
- Supervise multiple installation crews of different sizes
- Interface with multiple disciplines/contractors (i.e. Special Effects, Lighting, Audio etc.) to ensure appropriate installation and integration strategies, maintain strong communications with project team members
- Assess and advise on installation schedules, manpower planning and project timelines
- Monitor site conditions and maintain onsite safety standards
Requirements
- Diploma or above in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years experience on scenery, prop fabrication and installation in film/ theatre/ theme parks or other themed venues with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity
- Proficiency in wood, metal and plastics fabrication, plus practical experiece in material handling equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and models a must
- Ability to plan and implement scenery installation utilizing cable rigging methods
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
