We would like to invite applications for the position of:
Reporting to the Public Relations Manager, the candidate will form a part of the team responsible for the planning and implementation of all public relations and community outreach activities relating to the five operating MTR lines, the Airport Express, and the Corporaion overall. The candidate will be required to see through individual projects from concept development to implementation with minimal guidance. He/ she will also be the portfolio owner for the Corporation's annual passenger education programme.
Media relations is a key part of the job and the successful candidate will be required to be on-call regularly to answer media enquiries outside office hours. Prior consideration will be given to those with a proven track record in working with the media.
You should be a degree holder in Journalism, Mass Communication or English with a minimum of 5 years' experience in journalism or public relations. Experience in translation/interpretations and excellent command of English and Chinese, both written and spoken, are essential. You should be a creative and analytical thinker possessing good communications and interpersonal skills. The candidate must be sensitive to the prevailing socioeconomic and political climate in Hong Kong. Knowledge of Putonghua and simplified Chinese would be an advantage.
