Our client is a market leading FMCG firm with annual sales of circa. US$1.8 billion. The company has a notable focus on the China market where they have existing manufacturing facilities and further plans to expand.
Reporting to the President - Asia Pacific, this is a key strategic appointment overseeing all financial matters in the region.
Responsibilities will include the following:
- Develop a sound financial strategy for the region, notably China, which will include standardising country and regional financial and management reporting processes to faciliate growth and improve profitability
- Re-engineering of financial processes and the implementation of sound internal controls to mitigate risk
- Drive the entire planning adn forecasting process
- Involvement in any acquisition activity and deal structuring
- Develop and implement treasury procedures in line with HQ policy
To qualify, you will be a qualified accountant and possess the following experience:
- A min. 12 years' experience from a major manufacturing company, preferably in the FMCG sector
- Strong re-engineering skills, able to esablish new financial disciplines, processes and procedures
- Familiarity with US GAAP and PRC statutory / tax requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills in English, Mandarin & Cantonese
- Frequent travel is required
