Walt Disney Imagineering is the master planning, creative development, design, engineering, production, project management, and research and deveopment arm of The Walt Disney Company. Its talented corps of Imagineers is responsible for the creation - from concept initiation through installation - of all Disney Resorts, theme parks and attractions, real estate developments, regional entertainment venues, and new media projects. Walt Disney Imagineering Hong Kong, the team responsible for the design, development and construction of the Hong Kong Disneyland project, is now seeking high caliber individuals to fill the following positions for our Hong Kong Disneyland project.
Responsibilities
- Assist Development/Construction Manager of the Hotel Team with construction efforts on extenal works including underground drainage, utilities, landscape, irrigation, hardscape, rockwork, swimming pools, outbuildings, exterior graphics and lighting through installation
- Assist Construction Manager in review of Contractors application for payment, clarification, submittal, shop drawing, deficiency logs, RFI process and facilitation of production mock-ups for approval
- Perform constructability reviews, monitor and control construction field changes and schedules, quality control of the external works installation
- Participate in analysis and value engineering process
- Act as point of contact to all external works construction vendors and contractors
- Support final account settlement and variation order process
Requirements
- Landscape background with Higher Diploma/Certificate preferred
- 5-7 years relevant experience in external works and fitout construction, recent experience of major external works development project(s) in Hong Kong required
- Experience with RFI's, submissions, final accounts, documentation along with programming, estimating, budgeting and quality control
- Familiar with local plant material identification and environemtn requirements
- Ability to manage through conflict, complexity and to problem-solve issues to resolution
- Required to travel for short periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in both English and Cantonese/Mandarin (prefered)
