Responsibilities:
- Provide legal review and opinions related to banking and commercial matters including new products, regulatory compliance and risk management
- Develop and maintain an internal control system to identify and rectify legal risks
- Handle general litigation matters relating to banking activities
- Liaise with external legal counsels
Requirements:
- Law graduate with at least 5 years experience in a medium/large legal practice or as legal counsel in a sizable financial institution
- Excellent knowledge and exposure in the areas of banking and commercial law. Knowledge of PRC laws would be an asset
- Practical experience in regulatory requirements relating to banking industry
- Able to work closely with management in providing constructive advice and practical solutions to business operations
- Strong communication and organizational skills, attention to details and good in time management
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua).
Candidates with less experience will be considered for junior position.
