Job
1. Maintain good relations with the mass media at different levels, understand their needs, and disseminate appropriate corporate information.
2. Devise strategies and tactics on media activities to ensure the mass media can gain accurate knowledge of HA.
3. Help project the image of HA as accountable, transparent and caring to the public via the mass media.
4. Transfter necessary media handling skills to hospital staff to enhance media relations.
Requirements
1. (a) A degree in journalism, communication, public relations or related disciplines and at least 2 years of working experience in mass media, publicity, public relations, community work, or related fields; OR
(b) Passes in 5 subjects in the HKCEE and 12 years experience in mass media, publicity, public relations, community work, or related fields, preferrably at middle management level.
2. Good knowledge of topical issues in the community and the public affairs work of public bodies or large corporations is an advantage.
3. Very good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
Remarks
1. Appointment will be on contract terms for an initial period of 2 years. Up to 15% of total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered upon satisfactory completion of contract.
