The Sherwood Press Ltd, based in the UK, is the leading supplier of high quality greetings cards to publishers. Our products are sold by all the UK High Street Retailers, annually we produce in excess of 300 million cards. As part of our global manufacturing strategy we need a Business - Manager, working in China, to manage our supply chain with a local sub-contractor and our team in the UK.
The ideal candidate will have a good technical knowledge of the printing and finishing industry, preferably within the greeting card market. He or she will be responsible for checking the quality of work at each stage in accordance with an ISO 9000 quality management system.
Good communication and organisational skills, computer literacy and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, whilst remaining attentive to detail, are all requirements of the position.
The successful candidate will be responsible for project management from initial order through to completion of product, with a strong emphasis on quality of both product and service. He or she must therefore be a good communicator in both Cantonese and English whilst working with the local supply chain in all aspects of production.
