A Wireless Solutions Development Centre (WSDC) is being established at Cyberport, Hong Kong's IT flagship, to provide necessary hardware, software and technical support to the developer community to facilitate and promote mobile and wireless application development in Hong Kong. It provides end-to-end support from information, consultancy, development, deployment to product dissemination.
The Hong Kong Wireless Technology Industry Association (WTIA), a not-for-profit organization registered in HongKong, aims at promoting the development, usage and awareness of wireless technology applications in Hong Kong. It also enhances communication and facilitates partnership between diferent parties in the wireless telecom industry.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Executive Committee of WTIA, the Centre Director will lead a team of professional staff to industry and achieve challenging targets
- Liaise with senior executives from the industry, representatives from different industries in Hong Kong, Mainland China and other countries to explore opportunities and partnership for WSDC
Requirements:
- A University degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience with 6 years at senior level
- Good network and the ability to interact with IT and telecom industry players
- Management skills and leadership capabilities
- Strategic and innovative thinking, as well as strong business acumen
- Self-motivated, proactive personality with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in setting up new production facilities an asset
- Excellent command of English, Cantonses and Putonghua
