ORBIS, an innovative non-profit blindness prevention organization made up of passionate professionals, invites application for the following position:
Reporting to the Senior Development Manager, Organizations, the incumbent will conduct in-depth research and develop/implement sustainable fundraising strategies for ORBIS which draw resources from foundations in Hong Kong and Asia, with the goal of maximizing support for ORBIS's fundraising objectives.
The ideal candidate will be a degree holder, preferably in business or economics,k with a minimum of five years' proven experience in research, development or in handling philanthropic projects within corporations or foundations. S/he must have excellent research and writing abilities and strong organizational and analytic skills. In addition, s/he must have proven experience in proposal writing and marketing projects and a good understanding of international development issues and good business/economic sense. Fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese is essential.
