Part-time Lab Group Facilitators Master Of Social Science In Counselling Programme (Ref No.: P0095MSSC-C)

The Master of Social Science in Counselling (MSSc) Programme is jointly offered by the School of Continuing Education of Hong Kong Baptist University and the University of South Australia (UniSA) in Australia. Applicants with qualifications in counselling and experience in working with groups are invited to conduct a series of Counselling Laboratory Groups for students in this Programme in the coming semester commences October 2003.

The subject matter of the MSSc Programme is delivered in workshops conducted by academics of UniSA and also in comprehensive study guide materials.

The purpose of these lab groups is to provide opportunities for students to (1) learn more about themselves as counsellors; (2) increase their knowledge and awareness of the counselling endeavours; (3) practise counselling skills and (4) develop personal growth, peer support and networking skills.

Applicants should have at least a higher degree in counselling or a related discipline e.g. social work, psychology, not less than 3 years of work experience as a counsellor or human service worker, and experience in conducting research in psychology or social work or related areas. High proficiency in client-centred approach to working in groups and in spoken English is also expected. Experience in tertiary level teaching and familiarity with the local field would be an advantage.

Please enclose a self-addressed and stamped envelope if acknowledgement of application is required.
