The position reports to the Greater China Financial Controller. Key accountabilities include but not limited to formulating strategies, tactics and execution of annual operating plans in line with business directions. The incumbent should be able to provide innovative and value-added contributions to our customers and business partners to optimize Medtronic's interests achieving Greater China breakthrough business performance. The job holder is required to manage and structure business information to identify specific risks and opportunities as well as to apply quantitative and qualitative factors, skills and business experience to reach meaningful conclusions and commendations. The incumbent will work closely with Greater China Finance teams, SBU and Corporate Finance and Corporate Planning functions.
The ideal candidate for this role with less than 7 years' working experience in finance operations, planning and analysis acquired from multinational corporatios with exposures in join venture engagement. Experience working in dynami FP&A function, business development in MNC environment is a must. You should possess a university degree majoring in Finance. Economics or Business related discipline. You should be competent to understand, manage and fix all business/finance related requirements with proven records to formulate strategic and operating plans as well as on-going business forecasts and projections. You should also have the hands on experience in formulating and executing M&A, due diligence investigations working across with all functions. It is also vital that you have excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Mandarin) and the ability to master communication among Finance communities and be able to extend to other functions and countries. Knowledge about US, Hong Kong, China and Taiwan GAAP and corresponding Tax Ordinance is a definite advantage, preferably with hands-on experience in JD Edwards system. Hands on finance planning and analysis skills managing across multi statutory and management reporting structures and matrix organization exposure is a plus.
