Walt Disney Imagineering is the master planning, creative development, design, engineering, production management, and research and development arm of The Walt Disney Company. Its talented corps of Imagineers is responsible for the creation - from concept initiation through installation - of all Disney Resorts, theme parks and attractions, real estate developments, regional entertainment venues, and new media projects. Walt Disney Imagineering Hong Kong, the team responsible for the design, positions for our Hong Kong Disneyland project.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Lead Show Set Designer
- Provide drawings illustrating the size, shape, quantity, and locations of all show elements to be fabricated, indicating any major facility interfaces and special material consideration where necessary
- Coordinate all disciplines involved in the show's production, describing the specific form of the show
- Confirm all facilities and show interfaces during facility construction
- Suppor show installation including design drawings for changes in scenery necessitated by field conditions and the completion of all as-built drawings for final documentation
- Managing and coordinating various disciplines, including props, theme lighting, rigging, artificial foliage and architectural ornamentation
Requirements
- Degree holder in Theate Design, Film Production, Architecture preferred or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years experience as a designer working in film, theatre or theme park industry
- 2 years experience of show installation or related field experience
- Strong knowledge in MS Word and Excel
- Hands on experience in AutoCAD 14 or equivalent, Digital Image Manipulation and Adobe Photoshop
- Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills
- Fluency in English and Chinese
