These are continually developed and expanded to support more countries and to meet the growing needs of the business. The Group HSBC Universal Banking (HUB) System is a diverse group of banking modules that covers many functions and an increasing range of delivery channels. Installed in more than 20 countries, the Group HUB Secruities System (GHSS) is designed to support the secruities custody, clearing and retail stock trading business of the Group. An Executive level opportunity has arisen within the Hong Kong based project team that manages system development, implementation and support.
Reporting to the Senior HUB Manager Securities, your role will cover three distinct disciplines, development of business requirements, implementation and support of GHSS. You will be responsible for ensuring that CHSS consistently meets the Group's business requirements and that users fully understand that related procedures and workflows. You will have the opportunity to manage projects from the initial request phase through design, development, user acceptance testing and implementation. Additionally, you will manage system conversions and upgrades as well as provide support to GHSS users.
Ideally a university graduate with a minimum of eight years' experience in the banking and financial services industry, with at least five years at mangerial level; you should possess a sound technical knowledge of the secruities business and have a proven track record in project management. Excellent communication, interpersonal, management planning and decision-making skills are also essential. Applicants should note that occasional overseas travel is also a requirement.
