Human Resources Manager
Hong Kong Philharmonic Society Ltd

The Hong Kong Philharmonic Society is a non-profit charitable institution serving the community of Hong Kong. It services public funding for the operation of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. The Society comprises of 89 full-time musicians and 26 full-time staff. Following our recent complete review of our strategy and mangement structure, we are now looking for a highly motivated, proactive and career-minded executive to join us as the Human Resources Manager

THE ROLE
Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive, the appointee's prime role will be to set up an effective human resources system and be responsible for the formulation, implementation and administration of all human resources policies with respect to recruitment, compensation and benefits, manpower planning, budget control and employee performance appraisal. The appointee is also required to partner with the Operations Department as well as the Finance and Administration Department in relation to artistic and office personnel matters.

THE PERSON
To succed in this challenging role, the candidate should be able to demonstrate strong influencing and leadership skills in driving and implementing HR strategies as well as in managing full range of HR functions. 10 years proven exposure in human resources management with at least three to five years at managerial level plus proficiency in both spoken and written English & Chinese are pre-requisites. Past experience in setting up a HR Department from scratch is an added advantage. Knowledge of classical music or interest in it is definitely preferred.
