The appointees will perform teaching and research duties: supervise students in teaching practice: assist in designing, implementing, evaluating, and co-ordinating teacher education courses/programmes. The appointments will be for a period of ten or twelve months starting in summer 2003. Teaching on weekday evenings and/or Saturday afternoons may be required. Candidates should possess:
For Lecturer: a higher degree preferably a higher degree in the relevant disipline: a successful record of teaching: evidence of scholarship in the relevant field: and a minimum of four years of teaching or relevant professional experience.

For Instructor I/II: a Bachelor's degree preferably a higher degree in the relevant discipline plus a teacher qualification or equivalent; and a minimum of two years of teaching or relevant professional experience.

Experience in teaching practice supervision, proficiency in Chinese and English and knowledge of and experience in the Hong Kong educational context would be an asset. Further information is available at website: http://www.led.edu.hk/jobsopp.


Salary: Lecturer: HK$32,415 - $55,195 per month
Instructor I: HK$24,495 - $40,785 per month
Instructor II: HK$17,220 - $26,995 per month

Appointment will be made on non-regular terms with leave and outpatient medical benefits. If applicable. The salary ranges and terms mentioned herein are for reference only and may be subject to review.
