Student Affairs Office Complementary Studies Programme
The Complementary Studies Programme is organised by the Student Affairs Office of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. It consists of non-credit-bearing short courses for the voluntary attendance of full-time students. These courses aim at cultivating students' all round development and broadening their intellectual outlook to meet the needs of a knowledge-based economy. Duration of these courses varies but a course is normally composed of 3 to 7 weekly lessons of up to 2.5 hours each held on weekday evenings or Saturdays. Applications are now invited for Visiting Lecturers (part-time) in the following subject areas. Appointees will be responsible for course planning, teaching and related activities. Applicants should have a relevant degree or equivalent professional qualifications. Teaching experience is desirable.
Applicants should apply by completing an application form AND a course proposal form obtainable:
(a) from the Student Affairs Office, Room ST314, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hung Hom, Kowloon in person, or
(b) by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope to the above address, or
(c) by downloading from the Student Affairs Office homepage www.polyu.edu.hk/sao/csplecturer.htm
Completed application form AND course proposal form should be sent together with photocopies of full certificates and transcipts to the Student Affairs Office, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University by 28 May 2003. Please mark Complementary Studies Programme on the envelope. Applicants wishing to receive an acknowledgement of their application should send in a stamped and self-addressed envelope together with the application. Applicants who are not invited to attend an interview within two months of the closing date should consider their applications unsuccessful.
