A secondary school with 1500 students on roll aged 11-18.
The Design and Technology Department is looking for a Workshop Instructor to start end August 2003, who will be responsible for:
- supervision of the workshop areas of electronics, metal & wood
- ordering and maintenance of tools, equipment and machinery
- preparation of materials
- assistance to teachers during lessons and some secretarial tasks
The successful candidate will have:
- A good command of spoken and written English
- An appropriate from of training, such as apprenticeship, Hong Kong Technical College or Technical Institute diplomas or certificates or their equivalent
- Training or safety certificates in the operation of metalworking and woodworking equipment/machinery
- At least five years of working experience in the appropriate trades
- Good computer skills in MS Office
- An interest in education adn working with teenagers
- The willingness to work in a team, under the direction of multiple staff
