We are seeking an experienced and qualified professional for the above vacancy. While the appointee may be posted to varios functional teams under the Property Branch, he / she will initially be required to handle wayleaves matters and provide support to the Company's transmission projects. The ideal candidate is expected to possess high potential and be able to assume more sneior position within the organization in the long run.
Initially reporting to the Senior Property Officer (Wayleaves), the appointee will be responsible for the following major duties:
- Support the Senior Property Officer in the timely acquisition of wayleaves and associated land requirements for transmission projects
- Negotiate with the Governement and / or private sector for the grant of easements and / or wayleaves and associated works areas
- Assess and process compensation claims for Tun Fu, crops, graves and structures, etc. lodged by landowners and / or occupiers
- Resolve concerns / objections on fung shui, planning and environmental issues
- Advise client departments on the fesibility and cost effectiveness of land and wayleaves projects
Requirements:
- A Degree / Diploma in Land Administration / Estate Management / Land Management or equivalent, with memership of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (General Practice Division) or equivalent preferable
- In-depth knowledge of HKSAR Government's legislations, policies and procedures of wayleaves & land acquisition and resumption processes
- At least 4 years' working experiences in land & wayleaves related duties, 2 years of which must be in direct handling of wayleaves or land acquisition / resumption in the New Territories
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities and sense of responsibility
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office application & database management system
- Possession of a valid HK driving licence is a must. (Please indicate this in your application.)
