PROJECT OFFICER
Company:HKSAR GOVERNMENT

Salary : HK$25,860 per month
Entry Requirements: (a) a Hong Kong degree, or equivalent; (b) Grade E or above in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or equivalent; (c) a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification working experience in venue management, building management or property management (Working experience in the public sector is an advantage); and (d) Knowledge of using PC software.

Duties: (a) To liaise with service departments and contractors for maintenance, replacement and upgrading of equipment, installations and fixtures for the Hong Kong Central Library; (b) To monitor various improvement projects for the Library building; (c) To enforce and make improvements for the building security measures; (d) To prepare tender exercise for maintenance services and monitor the performance of all building service contractors; (e) To handle crowd control and admission control matters regarding Library admission and to assist in enforcing the Library Regulations within the Library premises; and; (f) To assist in operational duties of hiring venues of the Library and to perform emergency duties when required.

(Note : Appointees will be required to work irregular hours and on Saturdays, Sundays and General Holidays, to perform outdoor, typhoon and rainstorm duties as necessary.)

Terms of Appointment: Successful candidates will be appointed on 12 months non-civil service contract terms.

Benefits: A gratuity may be granted if the contract is satisfactorily completed with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity payable for the contract will be the sum which, when added to the Department's contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Ordinance, will be equal to 15% of the appointee's total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
