Centre for Language in Education
Duties: To teach English Language Enhancement Courses and be responsible for the planning, development and evaluation of materials and activities. A broad up to date knowledge of resources, including ICT, and demonstrable organisational and management skills are needed in order to manage a busy English Learning Centre, multimedia rooms and a languages technical office. Technical ability related to the use of IT in language learning will be a distinct advantage.
Requirements: A bachelor's degree and a master's degree in English language or language education; Qualified Teacher Status; a minimum of five years' English language teaching experience; teaching and administrative experience in tertiary institutions; research experience in English language or language education.
Monthly Salary and Conditions of Service (Salary scales are subject to review)
Senior English Language Instructor/Learning Centre Manager : HK$39,615 - $47,590
Appointment will be made on contract terms for a period of two years with a contract-end gratuity calculated at 15% of the total basic salary earned during the entire contract period less the contribution made by the Institute to the Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) Scheme as required by the MPF Scheme Ordinance. Other benefits include leave, medical and dental benefits, where appropriate.
