Entry Requirements : (a) have a good honours degree (1st or 2nd class honours) in one of the following: Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Molecular Genetics, Genetics, Biological Sciences (with credits/units in Molecular Biology) or Forensic Science (with credits/units in Molecular Biology) from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent; and (i) two years' relevant post-graduate experience; or (ii) a Master degree in relevant subject from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent; and (b) Grade E or above in English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or equivalent.
Knowledge and experience in computer networking and basic programming; knowledge in statistics or population statistics; and fluency in Putonghua are definite advantages.
Duties : To perform biochemical and biotechnical analyses, report on the findings and testify in court as a qualified expert on the interpretation of the laboratory test results. To assist the section head in training and supervision of technical staff. The appointee is also expected to participate in sectional administration, as well as in research and development.
