Requirements :
A degree in any subject of science, technology, engineering, accounting, economics or finance with normally eight years' post-qualification experience holding a managerial position in the relevant field. Experience in project management or technology start-ups or venture capital industry would be an advantage.
Duties :
The Senior Manager (Technopreneurial Funding) will assist in the administration of two funding schemes, namely the Small Enterpreneur Research Assistance Programme (SERAP) and the Applied Research Fund (ARF). He/She is responsible (a) to assess and evaluate all SERAP applications received, (b) to negotiate with the successful applicants on the terms and conditions for SERAP funding, (c) to monitor the use of SERAP funding against the stated milestones, (d) to monitor and assess projects approved by the Applied Research Council(ARC), and (e) to provide secretariat services to the SERAP Project Assessment Panels and the ARC.
Terms of Appointment : Successful candidate will be appointed on 2.5 years non-civil service contract terms.
Fringe Benefits : (a) a gratuity may be granted if the contract is satisfactorily completed with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will equal to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. (b) Rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), annual leave, maternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance of Hong Kong.
