INVESTMENT PROMOTION ASSISTANT

Job Desc:
(Salary: HK$16,000 to $20,000 per month)
Working with the investment promotion teams to promote foreign direct investment in Hong Kong, the successful candidate is required to -
(a) provide logistic support for investment promotion missions and projects;
(b) assist in organising and managing sector-specific events;
(c) assist in developing sector-specific publicity materials;
(d) prepare briefs on investment related issues;
(e) assist in compiling returns and statistical data; and
(f) carry out research for respective division and sectors.

The successful candidate may be required to work irregular hours and/or to travel overseas.

Entry Requirements
(a) A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent;
(b) Minimum 2 years of working experience, preferably in the field of marketing, public relations or account management;
(c) Fluency in English and Cantonese is a must and proficiency in Putonghua and other languages/Chinese dialects would be an advantage; and
(d) Proficiency in computer software such as Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), internet browsers and e-mail applications.

Terms of Appointment
The Investment Promotion Assistant is not a post on the civil service establishment. The successful candidate will be offered a non-civil service appointment on contract terms for two years. The appointee will not be a civil servant and will not be eligible for posting, promotion or transfer to any posts in the civil service.

Fringe Benefits
(a) An end-of-contract gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract and good performance. Such gratuity, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Ordinance, will equal 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period; and
(b) The successful candidate will be granted 14 days of annual leave. Rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), maternity leave, where appropriate, will be granted mainly in line with the provisions of the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance.
