(Non-Civil Service Vacancies)
FOOD AND ENVIRONMENTAL HYGIENE DEPARTMENT
(SALARY: $13,500 PER MONTH)
(a)Grade E or above in 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) including Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) or equivalent; (b) at least 1 year's post-qualification working experience in a supervisory position responsible for supervising operational frontline staff; and (c) be able to speak fluent Cantonese.
(Preference will be given to candidates who possess some or all of the followings : (a) working experience in organizing and controlling transport services as well as supervising drivers; (b) a valid Hong Kong Driving Licence for private car; (c) computer application knowledge in MS Word and Excel software.)
Duties:
(a) to assign jobs to drivers and other staff and supervise their performance by inspecting their attendance and work records and conducting surprise inspections at vehicle work-sites; (b) to monitor and control various allowances claims from the depot staff; (c) to deploy vehicles for daily operation and arrange for their maintenance and repair; and (d) to check and test, if necessary, vehicle depot facilities to ensure that they are in order and being used safely and properly.
Fringe Benefits : (a) A gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract period with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will be equal to 10 % of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. (b) Rest days, public holidays (or substituted holidays), annual leave, maternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted.
