Job Desc:
(Appointment Period: One-year)
Duties : Responsible to the Head of Lending Services Section in managing the Town Centre Library; or responsible to the Head of Acquisitions Section assisting in the acquisitions of monographs, serials, media and electronic resources; shift duties are required for both posts.
Requirements : An honours first degree plus a post-graduate qualification in Librarianship, i.e. M.L.S., A.L.A. or equivalent; working knowledge of INNOPAC Library System; proficiency in applying IT in library operations; ability to maintain team spirit with co-workers; and for the post of Temporary Assistant Librarian II, at least 2 years' relevant post-qualification experience in a large library, preferably in a tertiary education institution. Candidates with less relevant post-qualification experience may be considered for the post of Temporary Probationary Assistant Librarian.

Monthly Salary and Conditions of Service
Probationary Assistant Librarian : HK$34,615 - $36,248 per month
Assistant Librarian II : HK$37,898 - $39,681 per month
Appointment will be made on temporary terms with leave and outpatient medical benefits, as appropriate. The Institute reserves the right to offer appointment on different terms or not to make an appointment.
