(Ref.: RF-2001/2002-380) Master of Science (Interdisciplinary Design and Management) Programme, Department of Architecture (two-year fixed-term contract, tenable from July 2002 or as soon as possible thereafter) Requirements: a Master's degree plus 1 year's post-qualification relevant experience OR a Bachelor's degree plus at least 3 years' relevant experience; excellent proficiency in written and spoken English; skills in IBM-PC basic software programmes; experience in a built environment profession, preferably with a bias towards interdisciplinary practice; academic work experience not essential, but a methodical, organised approach to information gathering and processing, as well as a teamwork attitude required. Duties: help developing a new and evolving curriculum; establish teaching resources and match them to course objectives, and coordinate the operation of the course sessions. The appointee will also be responsible for investigation and research; topic development; interviewing potential tutors and assisting in recruitment; course planning and assisting in strategy; and course and event coordination. The post requires Saturday-Sunday work 5 times per year, with non-accruable leave granted in lieu.
Monthly salaries [attracting contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary] are on the following scales (subject to review from time to time in accordance with the University's established mechanism), with starting salary depending on qualifications and experience:
SRA : HK$28,745 - 31,520
