Head Of Department Of Manufacturing Engineering And Engineering Management [Ref. A/400/00]

Job Desc:
There are 33 faculty members and 75 support staff in the MEEM Department. The undergraduate and MSc programmes offered by the Department are in the areas of manufacturing engineering, mechatronic engineering, industrial engineering, automation systems and engineering management. MPhil and PhD programmes are also offered, in addition to the newly introduced Engineering Doctorate. The student enrolment currently stands at 930. The Department has its research focus on manufacturing engineering, advanced materials, project and technology management, logistics, mechatronics and industrial automation. Collaboration with the local industries is also a major activity of the Department. A number of Research and Development centres and laboratories have been set up to serve this purpose, e.g. Rapid Prototyping Technology Centre (RPTC), Advanced Coatings Applied Research Laboratory (ACARL), Smart Asset Management Research Laboratory, and Enterprise Knowledge Integration and Transfer Laboratory (E-KIT).

Candidates should have strong academic and professional qualifications, substantial relevant experience in tertiary education and a successful record of research and scholarship, and be able to provide academic leadership in teaching and research in the Department.
