The Hong Kong Examinations Authority (HKEA) is an independent, self-funding and non-profit making statutory body. Its main role is to conduct the HKCE and HKAL examinations. It also administers over 130 examinations leading to academic, professional or practical qualifications on behalf of overseas examining bodies and local professional bodies.
The HKEA has been commissioned by the HKSAR Government to develop Basic Competency Assessments (BCA) in Chinese, English and Mathematics for students from Primary 1 to Secondary 3. Applications are now invited for the captioned post for the BCA Project.
Duties:
﹣ The officer is responsible for the development of the item bank for the subject of Chinese Language, the administration of the assessment, co-ordination with schools and other duties related to the subject and the BCA Project.
Requirements:
﹣ Applicants should have a relevant recognized university degree, have at least 4 years of related teaching experience at secondary or primary level and be proficient in both Chinese and English. Possession of a relevant post-graduate teaching qualification, a higher degree in a relevant field, as well as knowledge in educational assessment and web-based environment will be an added advantage.
Salary and Terms:
﹣ The current salary range for this post is ﹩ 50,365 - ﹩ 63,195 (MPS 34-39) per month (under review). Appointment will be on a two-year contract with terminal gratuity of up to 15﹪ of basic salary on satisfactory completion of contract. Future employment may be offered on two-year renewable contracts. MPF benefits, medical and dental care and housing allowance (where applicable) will be provided.
