Entry Requirements: (a) Graduates in Higher Diploma in Environmental Health, Certificate/Higher Certificate in Building Studies/Building Services/Mechanical Engineering; or equivalent (Final year undergraduates of the above courses may also apply, but they will be offered a lower salary at HK$9,180 upon appointment until they have attained the required qualification); (b) able to write and communicate in Chinese and English; and (c) able to perform outdoor work independently.

Duties: (a) To investigate environmental nuisances arising from the discharge of water from ventilating system, water seepage, etc; (b) to submit investigation reports, recommend issue of Nuisance Notice, check compliance of Nuisance Notice and assist in taking subsequent prosecution action when Nuisance Notice is found not complied with; (c) to assist in operations to remove environmental nuisance; (d) to conduct inspections and surveys in association with environmental nuisances on street obstruction and street cleanliness; (e) to assist in district education campaigns with a view to reducing environmental nuisance.
