Associate Professor/Assistant Professor (Social Work)

in the Department of Applied Social Studies (Contract Duration : 3 years) [Ref. C/418/00]

Duties : Teach and carry out research in counseling and casework, and provide fieldwork supervision where required. The appointee will be expected to play an active part in developing a Master of Social Science Programme.

Requirements : A PhD in a Social Work or a relevant discipline, and preferably be a Registered Social Worker. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong commitment to inter-disciplinary research and good staff-student relations. Candidates for Associate Professorship should have a superior record of publications in refereed journals and the ability to conduct high quality research.

Monthly Salary (currently under review) and Conditions of Service

HK$48,495 - $81,015

Appointees offered at HK$68,055 per month or above may be considered for award of the Associate Professor title.

Appointment will be on fixed-term contract with contract-end gratuity. Generous fringe benefits include medical and dental schemes, annual leave, and housing assistance where applicable.
