Institute of Molecular Biology

(tenable from as soon as possible; on a one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal)

The Institute of Molecular Biology is a research institute in the University and is actively participating in research on diabetes and diabetic complication. Information about the Institute can be obtanied at http://www.hku.hk/hkuimb.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree with a background in cell and molecular biology. Experience in any of the following areas would be an advantage: transgenic/knockout mouse models, biochemistry, histology, genetics and molecular biology. The appointee will join the institute's diabetes research activities. Closes June 17, 2002.

Monthly salaries are on the following scales (which are subject to review from time to time in accordance with the University's established mechanism), with starting salary depending on qualifications and experience:

Post-doctoral Fellow : HK$31,520 - 41,465 (4 points)*

* The appointment will usually be made on the first point of the scale.

All appointments carry leave and medical/dental benefits.
