Department of Medicine and Therapeutics
Applicants should have (i) a medical qualification approved for registration with the Medical Council of Hong Kong; (ii) a higher medical qualification (MRCP, FHKCP, FHKAM (Medicine) or equivalent); and (iii) a strong track record in both laboratory and clinical research. Preference will be given to those with a higher medical degree (e.g. MD) and specializing in Cardiology. The appointee is expected to (i) teach undergraduate medical students and doctors pursuing postgraduate studies; and (ii) undertake in-patient and out-patient clinical duties as well as research at the Prince of Wales Hospital. Appointment will initially be made on a one-year contract, renewable subject to mutual agreement. The appointee is expected to assume duty in October 2002 or as soon as possible thereafter. [Note: The University reserves the right not to fill the post or to fill the post by invitation.]
Salary (subject to review) and Fringe Benefits
Senior Lecturer (clinical): HK$122,450 - 142,300 per month
(approximate exchange rate in May 2002: US$1 = HK$7.75;1 = HK$11.42; CAD$1 = HK$5.00; AU$ = HK$4.24)
