School of Journalism and Communication
Applicants must possess a PhD degree in communication, journalism, or a related field. Evidence of/potential for academic and professional achievements is essential. Experience in teaching Chinese news writing and reporting at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels will be additional assets. The appointee will teach courses in the following areas: (i) Chinese journalism; and (ii) communication theories/international communication/cultural studies/Chinese communication. Appointment will initially be made on a one-year contract from September 2002, renewable subject to mutual agreement.

Monthly Salary and Fringe Benefits
Visiting Scholar: HK$48,495 - 81,845 (subject to review)
