Job Desc:
-Leading and managing the Legal Department in the provision of professional legal and insurance services
-Assisting the Legal Director to analyse the Authority's legal position / obligations concerns and providing advice and solutions to top management relating to legal, contractual, corporate compliance, aviation ordinances and disputes resolution
-Assisting the Legal Director in the preparation for possible privatisation with regard to legislative changes, risk protection, insurance and corporate and secretarial practice and compliance
-Managing external legal services in a cost-effective and professional manner
-Ensuring the Authority's interests are protected and risks are managed and appropriately insured
Requirements:
-Advanced degree in legal discipline with not less than 10 years commercial experience, preferably in aviation or related industry
-Privatisation / corporatisation and IP0 experience
-High level skills in dispute management and resolution and in negotiating and documenting a diverse range of commercial/project/financial agreements
-Proven track record in commercial practice with experience in property development and construction
-Ability to relate to Board and management at all levels. Tactful negotiation and relationship management with official bodies and business partners
-Experience in supervising internal counsel and external advisers
-Practical problem solving capability and approach
