Non-Civil Service Vacancy
AGRICULTURE, FISHERIES AND CONSERVATION DEPARTMENT
ECOLOGICAL SURVEYORS
(Salary : $14,525 per month)
Entry Requirements : (a) a degree in biology, ecology or a related subject from a Hong Kong university or polytechnic, or equivalent; (b) Grade E or above in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or equivalent; and (c) practical experience in conducting ecological survey or identification of animals or plants.
Duties : Assist in conducting ecological survey on wild animals and plants in Hong Kong; perform staff supervision, licensing and law enforcement duties in the conservation and management of the countryside; undertake training, visitor service and educational work.
(Required to work in any part of Hong Kong, and may have to work irregular hours (including early morning/evenings, weekends and public holidays))
Terms of Appointment : Successful candidates will be appointed on 24 months non-civil service contract terms.
Fringe Benefits : Rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), maternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance. 14 days paid annual leave will be granted and there will be no gratuity.

Completed forms should be sent to the following address before the closing date for application. Candidates who are selected for interview will normally receive an invitation within six weeks from the closing date for application. Those who are not invited for interview may assume that their applications are unsuccessful.
